    Improving Employee Productivity with Situational Leadership

    The topic will be improving employee productivity with situational leadership. During this informative workshop you will learn the basics of Ken Blanchard’s Leadership theory, Situational Leadership II.  After a thorough explanation of the theory and its implications in the workplace, participants will work in pairs to apply the theory to several real leadership dilemmas.  Following the workshop portion of the program, the participants will share in groups of four their current management issues and attempt to apply the theory to the situations they are actually confronted with in the workplace.  Time will be allotted for questions and answers.

    Mary Beth Zink, SPHR, Visiting Instructor, Department of Business Administration, Morningside College

    Mary has over fifteen years of experience in management, assisting business an MBA from Regis University in Denver, and earned certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.  With over 20 years of experience working, consulting, and managing in the private and non-profit sectors, Mary has special interests I leadership, employee productivity, TQM, and ethics.  As an educator, Mary takes a practical approach in the classroom, cutting through confusion to help students apply business skills directly.  Mary is currently on the Board of the local chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management.
