Speaker: Theresa Nordstrom, SPHR is a 20+ year progressive HR professional with experience in Fortune 100 and start-up organizations. Theresa is a NW Iowa girl and grew up in Salix, Iowa. She has worked in a diverse group of companies and industries such as big box retail, construction, food manufacturing, and technology. A few of the companies you may recognize are Best Buy, ConAgra Foods, Accenture and Interstates, a NW Iowa company located in Sioux Center, where she lead HR from 2005-2011.

Theresa’s HR career is very diverse but from her very first role at Target stores she found herself spending a lot time in one space - talent acquisition. Why? Because it always seemed to be the area where there needed to a problem needed to be solved.

In 2015 after helping sell a Start-Up tech company, Theresa left the corporate world and founded Nordstrom Talent an Executive Search Firm. Her firm specializes in attracting the Top 15% of Accounting, Finance & Human Resource talent; using story-telling and innovative round-the-clock digital inbound marketing strategies to grab the attention of those who are about impossible to attract.
Her clients and candidates would likely describe her as more of a marketer or career coach than as a Recruiter. Her motto is – why fit in when you were born to stand out?

Topic: The BIG 3 Recruiting TEAM Impact Must Haves

Recruiting departments are overworked and overwhelmed. They are inundated with open job orders and calls from hiring leaders wanting to know where their candidates are. These challenges are not able to be met due to time starved leaders and budget constraints.

Whether you are a current Recruiting Leader, HR Business Partner or CEO who needs to energize the results of your recruiting department there are THREE key areas to focus on. I will be discussing each of these and how they can not only save you thousands of dollars, but also have an impact on employee engagement across the company if done well.

These have been my staples in every recruiting department I have led whether it be a start-up, Fortune 500 company and blue collar or white collar audiences. Join me for an engaging dialogue about stepping out of the normal recruiting day to day grind.
