    Speaker: Rana DeBoer

    Rana serves as the Work Well Manager for the City of Sioux Falls in her full-time career, and also serves as founder and President for her personal consulting business, Create Energy.     Topic: The Resilience Factor

    Today’s world offers no shortages in challenge or change, the key is resilience – the factor that keeps you up and running strong. In today’s 24/7 world, employees are under pressure to perform, to handle more, to always be “on.” As a result, fatigue and turnover are rising. Only 30% of American employees are engaged and performing to their full potential, and almost half are struggling to find balance between work and life. Research shows that managing energy, not time, is the key to sustaining high performance. Hence “the resilience factor”, where participants learn key components to leading a resilient, energy-filled life. Participants will take a personal resilience assessment prior to participation.
    • Know the definition of resilience, and then translate a personal practice definition 
    • Discover core elements to resilience and keys to achieving levels of energy in each component 
    • Interpret personal resilience factor assessment scores, and perform personal action planning for improved health and vitality 
    • Discuss and determine effective personal strategies to the barriers for success (daily rituals)
