    Speaker: Jason W. Metz

    Jason Metz is a Talent Sourcer for Mosaic, An Omaha-based non-profit serving people with intellectual disabilities.  He consults Mosaic agencies across 10 states on locating talent and building professional networks, and locates candidates for hard-to-fill positions from Specialty Contributors to C-Level Executives.  Jason is a graduate of Bellevue University with a BS in Business Management and M.A. in Management.  He holds is SPHR designation and is a Certified Internet Recruiter and Certified Social Sourcing Recruiter through AIRS.  Specializing in searching for people in novel ways and making connections, with knowledge of the challenges employers face in today's recruitment environment, his methodologies tend to focus on both technical and long-foprgotten traditional strategies of recruitment that are effective and low cost.

    Topic: Talent Sourcing: How it is different than Recruiting? 

    In this program we will be introducing Talent Sourcing: How it is different thanRecuiting? How Talent Sourcing can grow and diversify talent pipelines and can take your talent to the next level and introduce basic tools including: Boolean and the why, Searching Facebook in structured ways, Social Media Aggregators (job jet, Hiretual, swordfish, zap info) for candidate enrichment, Mailtesters/Email scrapers, how to use addresses or old information to our advantage, and leverage the open records act in our state.  The goal of this will be to get HR professionals in using these tools to make a difference in their talent efforts with some go do's they can take from the meeting to the work place immediately.

    - How can Talent Sourcing specific practices grow your talent pipeline and take your talent to the next level?
    Basic Tools
    - Basic Boolean (know your browser) - Colleges, Directories, Linkedin (searching outside the system and why), Associations
    - Extensions - What are they and why they are important
    - Searching Facebook in structured ways
    - Social Media Aggregators - Jobjet, Hiretual, Swordfish, Zap Info and thats just the start
    - Mailtesters/Email Scrapers - and Trgtr
    - Go Old School - Leveraging addresses and how the Open Records Act or FOIA is our friend.
